Welcome to Loving Paws
The skills in our Puppy 1 class will help you build a strong foundation of skills with your puppy. The class will also help you learn how to communicate and understand your dog’s behavior. Socialization is so important for puppies from 10 weeks to 6 months. This must be done properly for your puppy to be able to enjoy being with people, dogs and different environments.
Classes meet at 4709 Green Bay Rd, Kenosha WI. During the summer the Friday and Saturday classes may meet outside at Petrifying Springs Park.
There is some great information on Dr. Ian Dunbar’s website at Dog Star Daily Website. Ian shares videos and articles that can be very helpful with our puppies and adult dogs.
Puppies can start class after the second round of the parvo-distemper combo vaccine and the first bordetella vaccine is given. That is usually around 12 weeks of age.
