Welcome to the Shy & Fearful Dog Classes!!!
Our Shy & Fearful Dog classes take place a different location every week. I invite Loving Paws students to help out with the classes. The first week is a meet and greet with just the students in the class and their dogs. The weeks following will include the helpers.
We also enjoy including the students and their dogs in our Dog Walks which take place once a week during good weather.
Click on the name of the class below that you are interested and the link will take you to the class information and what classes are available.
Shy and Fearful Dog 1 – Understanding the dog and what to do to make help them be successful is the key to this class. This is for dogs that are fearful of people, dogs, sounds and other “monsters” in their life. This is not for a reactive or aggressive dog.
Shy and Fearful Dog 2 – You must take level 1 before taking level 2. This class will focus on building the relationship between the handler and their dog. We will continue with additional exposure in a controlled setting plus new skills to help the dogs succeed.
Dogs over 6 months of age must have proof of vaccines showing date last given for Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper-Parvo Combo (listed as DHLP……..).
Puppies are required to have the 1st of a series of 2 Bordetella vaccine and the 2nd of a series of 3 Distemper-Parvo (listed as DHLP……) I do accept titer test results for Distemper-Parvo for dogs over 1 year of age.
Classes take place at Woofman’s Lodge located at 5914-128th Ave in Kenosha. map Many people have issues finding the location when using their GPS. Woofman’s lodge is west of I94 and north of 60th Street (hwy K).
Outside classes take place at various locations in the Kenosha area.
Return students get a $10 discount off of most Manners & Etiquette classes (and some others). At the end of the registration process there is a page that has “customer code” listed. Put Return in that spot, It should give you the discount. Only return students can use this code. If you use it as a new student, it will be removed during the confirmation process.
Class start date delay and cancellations
The start dates for the classes and ongoing classes can be postponed when bad weather forces us to cancel a class. I do not want anyone traveling in dangerous weather conditions so I will cancel a class if we have bad weather. I will first contact the class via an email approximately one hour or more before class. I ask that everyone respond back to the email so I know you received the cancellation notice.
Cancellations must be sent to us in writing at firstname.lastname@example.org.
