Welcome to the Shy & Fearful Dog Classes!!!

With Covid cases on the rise, we are putting some procedures in place to try to give instructors and students as safe of a training environment as we can.  We will continue to follow the CDC recommendations of wearing a mask the entire time you are in the building, washing hands and keeping social distancing.  The mask must cover your mouth and nose all ALL times. There is no exception to this.

Woofman’s Lodge has a ventilation system to bring fresh air into the room using their fan system. The fans will be turned on before class starts.  The instructor will shut them off during class due to how loud they are. They will be turned on again at the end of the class.  We will also be defusing an essential oil created by Dr. Shelton DMV for respiratory concerns.  The oil is called Open Air and the ingredients are  Essential Oils of Tangerine (Citrus reticulate), Cinnamon (Cinnomomum zeylanicum), Spruce (Picea mariana), Copaiba (Copaifera officinalis), Eucalyptus radiata, Clove (Eugenia caryolphyllata), Helichrysum (H. italicum), Frankincense (Boswellia carterii), Lemon (Citrus limon), Marjoram (Origanum majorana), Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis C)This will be defused before and possibly during class.  We will continue to monitor this and make any changes to provide safety to all.

Our Shy & Fearful Dog classes can place in different location.  We have a new format for these classes.  They will be individual classes, meaning you register for each week that you would like to attend.  I’ve thought long and hard on this new format in the hopes of bringing new ideas to help the dogs gain confidence.

  • New students must be interviewed.
  • Returning student are welcome to register for any of the classes

We also enjoy including the students and their dogs in our Dog Walks which take place once a week during good weather.

Shy and Fearful Dog –  Understanding the dog and what to do to make help them be successful is the key to this class.  This is for dogs that are fearful of people, dogs, sounds and other “monsters” in their life.  This is not for a reactive or aggressive dog.

Vaccine Requirements

Dogs over 6 months of age must have proof of vaccines showing date last given for Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper-Parvo Combo (listed as DHLP……..).

Puppies are required to have the 1st of a series of 2 Bordetella vaccine and the 2nd of a series of 3 Distemper-Parvo (listed as DHLP……) I do accept titer test results for Distemper-Parvo for dogs over 1 year of age.

Class Location

Classes take place at various locations in the Kenosha and Racine area.

Class start date delay and cancellations

The start dates for the classes and ongoing classes can be postponed when bad weather forces us to cancel a class. I do not want anyone traveling in dangerous weather conditions so I will cancel a class if we have bad weather. I will first contact the class via an email approximately one hour or more before class. I ask that everyone respond back to the email so I know you received the cancellation notice.

Refund Policy

Cancellations must be sent to us in writing at laura@lovingpawsllc.com.

You can transfer your payment to another class or event.
Refunds: Class deposits and payments are non-refundable unless authorized by Laura Yurchak
