In Memory

Gallery | Nose Work | In Memory

They say memories are golden, well maybe this is true.
I never wanted memories, I only wanted you.
A million times I needed you, a million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place no one could ever fill.
If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane,
I'd walk the path to heaven and bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
God Bless Our Pets.

Two Barker - Plott Hound Mix
Two came into my life when she was 6 months old. I was her second home and so grateful I was her last home. She had the most gentle and kind soul. She came into my life when my lab Shadow was seven years old and helped her to be a happy girl until she was 15. She never barked until Shadow could no longer hear and then it was her duty to alert me.

Two taught me patience and the art of being calm. Not a day goes by that I do not think of her and smile at the memory of her most gently nature.

At the age of 13 ½ she achieved her NW1 title. That is a memory etched in my brain forever. The picture is from that beautiful day in October, just the two of us chilling and smiling.

I miss you and cannot wait to see you again.

Romeo Poppie - Chihuahua

Romeo left this world on March 10, 2015. He was a sweet, loyal and loving Chilhuahua mix.

He was 11 year old and our family only had the privilege of having him in our lives for 3 years.

He was trained with the big dogs as a K-9 Good Citizen at Loving Paws. Romeo was a natural.

We learned so much from him showing kindness and gentleness at school as our reading dog and visiting elders

at the nursing home. He was little but made a big impact on so many. Until we meet again my friend, you will be deeply missed!

 Charlie Anderson - Beagle

Thurs, Oct 16th 2014 Charlie said good-bye to this world.  He was our  student and was a regular in the Loving Paws Hiking Club.  He was special to Laura Yurchak.  He ended up a diabetic dog and hated his injections (I couldn't blame him).  He would stay at our house when Cathy had to travel for work.  My husband would feed him as I gave him his daily injections.  He loved to run and play in our yard with Lucy and Harley.  He touched my heart and the heart of so many.  Cathy Anderson took such good care of Charlie, he was so lucky to have her as his human mom.  Charlie was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Mike Hicks - Bulldog
Passed on October 12th, 2011

Mike was not our family dog.......he was family. He brought so much joy every single day, never had a bad mood. He did Yoga with me in the morning, loved going for walks at the lake, loved to play. Every ball he found was his. I am overwhelmed with feelings of loss and such great love.  We only had him for 6 short years, but they were the best six years our family ever had. The physician I work for told me that all we can do is give our pets a great life......Mike gave me a great life.  I love him and I ache not having him here.  I will always cherish the time I was privileged to have with him.  He was a true kindred spirit and I miss him.so. God's speed Iron Mike Hicks.

Vinny Nordby - Shar Pei
Passed away on 5-18-11
Vinny joined the Loving Paws group in Oct 2009 attending a Shy & Fearful dog class.  When Lisa brought Vinny home, he was extremely fearful of just about everything.  He was attacked by a dog at a very young age losing an ear and eye sight in one eye.  Throughout his life with Lisa, Vin was able to overcome many of his fears leading a happy life.  He enjoyed visiting his friends at Harley and Lucy's house when mom went out of town. The picture shows Vin with Rosie, Lucy and the Frisbee. Vinny was deeply loved by his family and holds a very special place in our hearts.  Vin was very lucky to be adopted by Lisa, he was given the oportunity to have fun and enjoy being a dog.

Snoopy Minehart - Beagle Mix
July 2007 to February 16, 2011
Snoopy began his awesome life as soon as he went home with Melinda in 2008. There was a very special love between them.  You could feel their happiness when you were with them. Snoopy brought us all tons of laughter and joy. He was the star of the Loving Paws play groups and hike club.  He loved going in the dog door during play groups to visit anyone in the house. We laughed so hard the first time he did it. What a smart dog.  Everybody that knew him, loved him.  There wasn't a dog that didn't like him.  Snoopy will be deeply missed and loved by all forever.
Buddy Seiberlich - Beagle
Aug 8th 1998 -  Nov 24th 2010
Buddy enjoyed the Loving Paws play groups when held in his yard during the summer.  He would sniff and bark the entire hour.  Bud enjoyed playing with Baby his cat, going for walks and car rides, training, being with his pals Harley and Lucy, eating, chasing bunnies and squirrels, and relaxing with him mom. He came to Laura's moms rescue after Laura's dad passed away.  Buddy is greatly loved and deeply missed.

Terra Yurchak - Cattle Dog Mix
1993 - 2008
Terra loved chasing squirrels, playing in the sprinkler, going to walk & car rides, running in the park, agility and life in general. She smiled at you when you walked in the door. She was one of my best friends and mentors. Oct 31st will be a year since I had to say goodbye. We love her today as much as we did when she was here. We miss her so much.

Tasha Yurchak - Border Collie
1993 - 2009
Tasha loved playing with toys, going for walks and car rides, playing in the park, agility tunnels and being with her family. Tasha was another one of my best friends and she taught me so much about fearful dogs.  She was smart and beautiful. We said our goodbye on February 28th. We enjoyed every day with her and will love her forever. We miss her deeply.

Dora - 6/20/2009
Dora loved swimming, running, going for long walks, and sleeping on the bed with her head on my pillow. She was such a smart and loving dog. Everywhere I went she had to go to. Shirl's vanilla ice cream was her favorite. We said our goodbyes June 20, 2009. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

9/1/1992 - 6/1/2009

11/18/1995 – 4/26/2009

Bajee and Charlie were my first two “kids”.   While we rescued them, they were the ones who gave us the biggest gifts of all.  I don’t think I ever knew the true depth of love until I had these two, and each of them taught me very different things.  Bajee taught me patience, as she was exuberant her entire life, and Charlie taught me love and compassion will teach better than any firm hand.  He demanded it of me, and I finally learned to listen to him. I’m so sorry it took me so long to catch on, my friend.  I miss our walks and boat rides, Bajee, and Charlie I miss playing “lolly” with you and giving you all those raw veggies that you loved to chew.  There isn’t a day that I don’t think about you both, see you standing here with me and wish I could hug and kiss you, and tell you how much I truly love you, both.  I will forever miss you.
