•     Coaching people on how to teach their dogs the desired behaviors using positive reinforcement methods and to stop inappropriate behavior in a pleasant way. 

•     Getting the dog’s behavior on a voluntary basis, with no force or pain so that the desired behaviors become a habit and are self-reinforcing. 

We believe that using force and pain-based methods diminishes the relationship between the owner and their dog and teaches the dog that the owner can be unpredictable and dangerous.  We humans tend to focus on what our dogs do wrong and spend little time focusing on all the things our dogs do right.  Our classes are based on reinforcing the correct behaviors and redirecting the incorrect behaviors.   We here at Loving Paws work hard to encourage people to view their dogs as the magnificent animals that they truly are.
