Hiking Club vs Dog Walk
The dog walk was developed by Laura Yurchak to work with dogs that were environmentally or socially fearful. Laura hosts the Dog Walk so she can walk with the group, analyze the dogs behavior and recommend treatment options.
The Hiking Club is hosted by Loving Paws trainer Jennifer Lueck. Jen will put a hike on the hiking club website the end of the week. Once it is added to the site those that have registered for past hikes will get an hiking notification for the new hike via email. If you didn’t register for a past hike you can either watch the website or register for a hike to get on the notification list.
The Hiking Club is hosted by Loving Paws Trainer Jennifer Lueck. We are a group of Loving Paws clients who meet during the week to walk our dogs together. Most “hikes” are really just walks on paved roads, although we do occasionally hike on real hiking trails. Information about hikes, such as location, date, time and level of difficulty is available at our Loving Paws Hiking Club website.
Where we hike: Lake Andrea, Kenosha Marina and downtown, Petrifying Springs, Van Patten Woods (Wadsworth, IL), Pennoyer Park, Bristol Woods, Silver Lake Park. New hike locations coming soon!
When we hike: We generally hike on weekends. Weekday and weeknight hikes tend to take place during the spring and summer months based on weather and daylight.
Who Can Hike: If you’ve taken a class at Loving Paws and enjoy walking and socializing with other dog people, the Hiking Club is for you.
Cost: Free to graduates of Loving Paws
